Indigo Dreams

Fiction/Non-Fiction

"Indigo Dreams is fast establishing itself as a platform for new writing."
Jan Fortune-Wood, Cinnamon Press

Indigo Dreams Publishing welcomes submissions of exciting fiction and non-fiction (please note, no children's fiction) for publishing consideration. Please only contact us if you have total belief in your manuscript and believe it deserves a wider audience.

Please do not send an unsolicited manuscript to us. There are not enough hours in a day to give the consideration it deserves and it will not be read. We have a system that ensures we see all of the manuscripts we wish to consider.

We ask that you complete and return a Publication Enquiry Form - General. This asks relevant questions to assist us in selecting those manuscripts we are interested in. It also requests a Synopsis of the book.

The completed forms are considered at an Acquisitions Meeting and those of interest are contacted for the complete manuscript to be sent as a Word attachment, from which final decisions are made.

"We are not tied to genre, sales targets or restrictions we do not impose on ourselves. We are a true independent and as such are free to make choices, take guarded risks, and publish whatever we truly enjoy.

We feel that if we enjoy it, then others might, so everyone has an equal starting point, the quality and appeal of the manuscript will determine our decision. It can be a first or fiftieth publication.

We do expect the author to be active in promoting their own book, which should be a standard desire anyway. We have no restrictions on content, be it fact or fiction. Each new book is a journey with us and the author. We love our work and the author loves their work. The journey is enjoyable.

We want a submission to engage and ideally startle us with quality from the first page and go on startling us - not with the exhibitionism of a lap-dancer but with the subtle surprise of spice in a meal, one that leaves a lingering taste.

A unique style, interesting content, good grammar, non-cliché, and a manuscript that has obviously been created with care. We also like to see authors that are willing to engage in the selling process to maximise sales."

Should we ask to see your manuscript, then we would ask that novels be presented with the first word of the opening paragraph of a chapter or chapter section be kept tight to the left-hand margin. The first word of following paragraphs must be indented with the same spacing throughout.
